About

Hello, my name is Sophia Fisher, and I am a human rights activist. I am the Founder and Executive Director at Stop the Demand Project, a 501©(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to combating human trafficking through educational content. As innovation continues, human traffickers are finding new ways to exploit modern-day technology. In America, the average age a teen is trafficked is 12-14 years old. With over 90% of Generation Z on social media, we see an opportunity to use technology for good.

In addition to Stop the Demand Project, I am a board member at Atlantic Counter Trafficking, an organization dedicated to ending human trafficking in the United States by providing law enforcement with additional resources and actionable intelligence.

Overall, I am extremely passionate about fighting exploitation which is why I will spend my life fighting it. The “Sophia Fisher Community” is a place where we discuss human rights abuses and ways to bring about change.
